About Ken Carl
Photography, as a visual expression and the aspect of storytelling through images are Ken Carl's central interest. The works of Gordon Parks and the book "Family of Man" have became touchstones of that interest. While attending Columbia College Chicago, Ken was fortunate to be a student of Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist John White. Ongoing studies with John Paul Caponigro, the acclaimed digital artist, have established a strong foundation in digital photography, printmaking, and image awareness.
Ken is available for local (Chicago), national and international assignments.
Photography ServicesKen Carl's style of work is based upon photojournalism. He has developed a strong reputation for meeting the needs of his clients. His previous experiences of directing national championship events and creating related sponsorship programs has made him aware of sponsor and client requirements. He has international travel experience and proven ability to work in remote locations. Travel - documentary assignments in 2003 included twenty-one days in Tanzania, Africa with "Climb for Kids Foundation", coverage of the Chicago 35th ward Aldermanic race and various assignments from the Chicago Tribune, RedEye, Extra and Citylink newspapers. Additional clients include United Airlines, James Jordan foundation, Chicago Metro YMCA, Chicago Athlete, TAP Pharmaceutical, Damon Runyon Cancer Research foundation and Magnet Communications.
